Lancaster Hotel Manila

It was a quick decision-making that landed us checking-in at Lancaster Hotel along Shaw Boulevard. We were attending a wedding that Friday afternoon of December. Christmas rush was everywhere and we have some shopping to do ourselves after the wedding. A few minutes before lunch time, we decided to check-in at Astoria Plaza however it was fully booked. A few of our friends have checked-in at Lancaster Hotel, which eventually became our hotel for that night.

We reckon traffic would be hell so we decided to take a cab going to the hotel. We were able to get great rates because of a friend and we were able to check-in before rushing to the church.

Our room was a junior suite with two single beds.

When we checked-in, we were informed that they have a complimentary scheduled shuttle service to Ortigas shopping malls. However when we got back to the hotel that night, the person at the front desk is clueless about their shuttle's schedule.

Here are the room rates I got from a flyer at their front desk last December 2013 (inclusive of buffet breakfast):
  • Junior Suite - Php 5,850
  • Executive Suite - Php 6,600
  • Deluxe Suite - Php 9,300
  • Lancaster Suite - Php 11,300

Sorry, you can see our mess!

I was unable to get enough pics of the room since we were too exhausted from the wedding and had to leave early to catch the early opening hours of the mall to get rid of the massive crowd.

  • Accessible; along Shaw Blvd

Areas of opportunity:
  • Our breakfast buffet was a disaster! Plates and utensils were unavailable. It took forever before they replenish the food trays. Very limited variation of food
  • Inconsistent information from their front desk regarding shuttle to Ortigas malls. They should give a better training to their front desk officers.
  • Unorganized queue when getting a cab through their bellboy and guard. A process flow would help them in this case.

Will I go back? Most likely, no.
