Fine Dining at Lemuria

fine dining restaurant in quezon city
Lavender Room, Lumeria

One of our dreams as husband and wife is to have a fancy date at a fine dining-restaurant. This has been a part of our conversation for years! But the kids were smaller and we had no helper to leave them with, so we only had a handful of dates in the last 11 years.

We have had our dates at different hotels and restaurants but have not experienced degustation. A degustation restaurant offers a dining experience that features a tasting menu with a variety of small, meticulously crafted dishes. The goal is to provide guests with an array of flavors, textures, and culinary techniques within a single meal. Each course is typically paired with complementary wines or beverages. This type of restaurant emphasizes the artistry of the chef and the quality of the ingredients. The experience is designed to engage all the senses and provide a memorable culinary journey. For our wedding anniversary, we opted to try one of the best in the Metro that offers French Mediterranean cuisine, the exclusive Lumeria in Quezon City.

Since it was December, we made sure to reserve our seats a few weeks early through their website. We paid Php2,000 to reserve our dinner on a Sunday night. We chose the 6-course degustation because I think a 9-course meal will be too much for my taste (and stomach!). The 6-course meal is for Php3,900 per head, wine is not included. There is also a 10% service charge. Don't worry, I'll tell you later our total bill for this date.

I like that the signage entrance is so simple and discreet

Do note that since it is a fine dining establishment, they have a dress code you need to adhere to. That means no shorts, slippers, sandos, tank-tops, caps, t-shirts.

Lemuria is situated in a quiet and secluded Horseshoe Village. We arrived a few minutes before our scheduled dinner at 6PM. At the driveway, a gentleman greeted us right away and escorted us inside the premises. There is a bit of a walk going down to the restaurant so if you are wearing heels, make sure you hold on to your partner.

There was a wedding reception at the main hall so we were escorted to the Lavender Room.

Here's the menu for our dinner.

My husband chose our wine after consulting with our waiter about what would go best with our dinner.

Here are more pictures of our dinner.

Hokkaido Scallops

Roasted Squash Soup

Fish: Halibut

For some reason, I lost my photo of our first main course, the pork loin, and the sorbet! :(

Second Main Course: Beef Tenderloin

Dessert: Caramello

Dinner is until 10PM but we were able to finish by 9PM. The crew were all attentive and gave their best service to us.

Surprisingly, the dinner was very satisfying. I did not feel hungry at all until the next day! The slow dinner and conversations with the Hubby were amazing. We both love the food, the ambiance, the service of the crew, and the overall feel of the place. It was a great experience for both of us and we would like to come back!

So our total bill was Php9,998. It was almost 10K but I tell you, it is an experience all couples should take even for just once in their lifetime. Now, here's to manifesting more of these dates! Cheers!

  1. Would definitely not try eating there, even for the experience. But husband would most likely drag me because just like what you believe in- it's worth the celebration and
worth the person. Happy anniversary to the both of you.
