National Children's Book Day + Giveaway

Win these books!

We were supposed to be at the Cultural Center of the Philippines to day for the celebration of the National Children's Book Day. However, I have been sick these past few days - lost my voice in the process - and had to decide to forego our field trip.

It's been raining badly in Metro Manila since last night and just before lunch time, the organizers of the event in CCP has announced cancellation because the government has suspended office work. On the good side, we still have a chance to join the celebration with other kids.

I have been advocate of read-alouds and gifting children with books all these years. Interestingly, my Facebook page has reached its 2,000 likes today! Wow!

So, as a thank you to everyone who has been following this blog and my Facebook page, and to celebrate National Children's Book Day today, I am opening this flash giveaway. Just follow the simple mechanics below.

1. Giveaway will run from July 17 to July 18 (10PM) only.
2. Comment on this blog post: What would you like to know more about homeschooling?
3. Like my Facebook page.
4. Comment on this FB post ( https://bit.ly/2L3Oy71 )with "Done"

  2. I would like to know more about homeschooling. The process. How does it work? Kumbaga kasi may oras bang sineset dyan? Ilang oras? May mga gradesheets din ba na sinusunod? Kaso i have a neighbor whom are homeschooled hanggang mag high school. And now theyre in College na. How does it work? And im surprised actually. Napakatatalino nila and advance. Nagpunta ko sa kanila noon kasi childhood friends ko sila e, andami din nilang artworks and crafts. May mga halaman sa loob ng jar. Andami din nilang activities na kakaiba.

I have ten basic questions or how to know more about homeschooling:

    1. How much does it cost to homeschool?
    2. Do homeschoolers do better than their public-school peers on standardized tests?
    3. How does homeschooling benefit the child?
    4. Why do parents decide to homeschool?
    5. Is it safer to homeschool?
    6. Do a lot of parents still homeschool because of religious reasons?
    7. Is it cheaper to homeschool than to send a child to public or private school?
    8. Do homeschoolers have to take standardized tests?
    9. Do homeschooled students have to take the SAT and the ACT?
    10. Do you recommend homeschooling?

    Thank you po❤❤❤

  10. 1. In homeschooling, isn't one on one of the teacher and the student? I mean, one on one po ba itong pagtuturo ng guro at estudyante sa bahay?

    2. If kapag sinabing homeschooling, only paperworks and projects lang po ginagawa sa bahay and self study?

Tapos review all by my self, kumbaga self learning pra sa quiz and exam.

  14. Of course ive been hearing a lot bout homeschooling at ang dami ng naghomeschool..i wanna know the process kasi clueless talaga ako. I have a turning 4 yrs old daughter and i am teaching her at home.instead of sending her to school as she likes playing pa and for me too early for her. I just taught her anything from the basic like alphabet and numbers. I let her write, we sing togther to memorize . Mganda daw developmwnt and approach ng homeschooling kaya naintriga ako dito.

  15. I want to know more about homeschooling. How it will help my child, will it cost me much? Or less? Will it really be good if its home school or eventually bk magka fear sila pag nasa real world na sila ng schooling? Ako ba ang magtuturo or somebody will visit and teach or online? How much time will it consume per day? How about grading system. Mas ok po ba ang schooling for elementary students? I want to know more and the process itself.
