Staycation at The Westin Manila

The last six weeks have been very stressful for me and my family. The school year was closing, registration and graduation, deadlines at work, and then we got sick. It is our daughter's birthday month and she has mentioned previously that she wanted to swim for her birthday. We could easily do so where we live since we have a community swimming pool, but our family had bigger dreams. Instead, we chose to have a staycation for the weekend with the whole family of at least 15 people at The Westin Manila in Ortigas. And we are thrilled to spend time with the family and celebrate birthdays.

While waiting for the whole family to arrive, the boys played chess in the lobby. Our 6-year-old loves chess and gets lost in time while playing.

Loved that they have essential oils for the restless.

Executive Suite

We were in different rooms but the grandparents were at the Executive Suite where we spent a lot of time together.

Living area at the suite

There are 2 bedrooms in this 84 sqm suite. Sorry, but I just realized that I was not able to take photos. In my short reel below you can find videos instead.

Z's Cake Number 1. This was delivered to our room.

Swimming Pool and Club Lounge

Certainly, the kids did not miss taking the plunge at the swimming pool. While they were in the pool, we visited the Club Lounge which was on the same floor as the pool.

Kiddie pool. The next pool was also not too deep. Since they have a baby cousin, we opted to use this pool instead.

Food

On Day 1, we opted to have lunch in Megamall since we have errands to do. But for dinner, we ate at the Seasonal Tastes of Westin. The dinner was buffet and had a great selection of food including seafood. You can check my reel for some of the food we ate.

Z's Cake Number 3. Her Cake Number 2 was at Megamall earlier that day. Haha!

The next day, we had a breakfast buffet at Seasonal Tastes. It was a weekend so the place was packed by 9 AM.

We were a big party so we had this room for ourselves for breakfast.

I went back and forth between the assorted pastries

For late lunch, we opted for in-room dining. The family had pizza, tea, pastries, etc.

Tea time was delivered in the suite.

Before leaving the hotel, we ate in the hotel lobby.

Westin Burger

Fish and chips

Carbonara - the best I have tasted so far!

Here's a short reel of our staycation.

Overall, our family had a great time at The Westin Manila. We will surely go back in the future.
