Mesa ni Misis and SuperMoms

To celebrate Nutrition Month, SM Supermalls joined forces with Mesa ni Misis for a momentous occasion, the healthiest SuperMoms Meetup, held at the SM Megamall Event Atrium on July 22, Saturday.

SuperMoms, gathered in large numbers, convened for the grandest super momma convention, which also marked the launch of the latest recipe book, Juana's Table, authored by Mesa ni Misis' own Juana Manahan Yupangco.

Emphasizing the power SuperMoms hold in shaping their children's future health, Grace Magno, SM Supermalls Vice President for Corporate Marketing, encouraged moms to embrace plant-based diets and introduce them to their families. Doing so would ensure that the little ones grow up strong, vibrant, and equipped with the tools for a healthy and fulfilling life.

The partnership between SM Supermalls and Mesa ni Misis, as reflected in the recipe book, aimed to educate moms about the significance of healthy and sustainable eating. Written by the food security champion and local produce advocate, Juana Manahan Yupangco, the book offers a plethora of healthy and affordable meal options, making it easy for moms to create nutritious dishes using fresh produce available at the SM Sunday Market.

The event featured an engaging cooking demo by Yupangco, accompanied by celebrities and certified SuperMoms, Dimples Romana, and Patti Grandidge Herrera. Together, they demonstrated how to prepare a veggie gimbap using fresh, local ingredients—a testament to the ease of crafting delicious and healthy family meals from the recipe book. Attendees also discovered practical ways to practice sustainability in their households through cooking.

The meetup included on-ground activities such as the SuperMoms Club Photo wall, where SuperMoms captured moments with their goodie bags, and a raffle draw with special prizes and surprises from partners and sponsors for the lucky SuperMoms.

Originating in 2018, SM Supermalls' SuperMoms Club stands as the Philippines' largest mommy community on Facebook. The SuperMoms Meetup serves as a platform to foster a strong community of inspiring women and super mommas who uplift, support, and encourage one another.

The event was designed with the well-being of SuperMoms in mind, making them feel valued, cared for, and heard, whether at home, in the workplace, or within the community. Juana Manahan Yupangco assured attendees that their SM Supermalls family would always be there to listen, understand their needs, and support them throughout their motherhood journey.
