Family and Finance Seminar 2017 + Giveaway

Probably one of the most common questions anyone has been asked is:
"If ever you had an opportunity to go back in time and change one particular aspect in your life,
what would it be and why?"

I always try to live a life with no regrets but when I became a mom, I began to reflect on my life choices and one of which is how I have handled my finances when I was still single. Yes, I had savings then but I saved up to buy something or to travel somewhere. I saved-up to spend, literally. The approach worked for me and in the early years of my marriage. Investing, retirement, and thinking about family finances in the future was not on my to-do-list a few years ago.

It was only when I left the corporate life and became a stay-at-home mom when I started to look thoroughly into our finances as a family. From two parents working to a single-income household, we had to adjust and began to view financial management in depth, more than the bank savings we only knew.

If I had to turn back in time, I should have started investing and planning a financially-free life earlier. Hence I encourage my family and friends to look deeper into their financial health so they can be on track before it's too late. We have also included our children by opening their kid savings accounts.

This coming weekend, a financial management seminar, Family and Finance 2017 will be held on April 1, 2017, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM at CCF Center, Frontera Verde, Ortigas Avenue corner C5 Road, Pasig City.

Family and Finance is a movement dedicated to educate and empower parents and individuals improve their financial well-being. Attendees will have to go through an extensive step-by-step process that begins with checking one’s financial health, discussing finances as a couple, setting goals as a family, kickstarting one’s investment journey and the truth about money. This event also aims to equip parents to teach their children about money because financial literacy starts at home. At the end of the conference, attendees will not just gain practical but also actionable steps that they can immediately apply to improve their own financial well-being.
