Fairmont Makati

This entry is way looooooong overdue! I can't believe I missed out writing about our quick Holy Friday getaway at the Fairmont Makati Hotel (they officially opened in 2013)! This 5-star hotel is located at the heart of Makati City Business District (MCBD), just across Greenbelt and Landmark Makati.

I must say that Fairmont Makati is my favorite hotel here in the Philippines. The hotel is refined and inviting, a must-to getaway.

My family and I checked-in at Fairmont Makati on a holy Friday last March 2013. It was a breeze driving along EDSA and Makati Avenue. I love holidays!

We got at the hotel a little past lunch and was able to check-in immediately. While waiting, our son was busy exploring the lobby.

Hallway outside our room

Along the hallways leading to our room are paint canvasses. Funny, I was wearing a dress that day that was in-sync with the paintings! I so belonged! :)

When we got to our room, I was in awe. Everything is so clean, smells good, luxurious, it was just perfect. Our active toddler was all smiles as he examines his room for the night.

We were three adults and a kid so we requested for an extra bed. I really really  really loved Fairmont Makati's bed!! The pillows - heaven!! They were so comfortable, I can sleep all day and night on it. Even their extra bed was so comfortable to sleep on.

Mini Bar. The fridge is inside the cabinet.

All the furniture blended well with the room. You can feel the sophistication of the hotel. Our room had a mini bar, a fridge that's filled, a working desk, flat TV, couch, and a large closet. There's also a complimentary LAN access to the internet.

A very happy toddler. Look, we got apples!

My favorite part of staying at hotels (other than sleeping) is having a luxurious bubble bath. Bubble baths make me feel regal. :)

I so loved our bathroom at Fairmont Makati! It was spacious, magnificent, so queenly! :)

The shower area was separated from the bath tub and toilet. The toilet doesn't have a bidet, though. Filipinos need tabo!! LOL!

Spacious shower

Complimentary toiletries. The scent is HEAVENLY!

I'd like to have one of these (below) in my own bathroom. That square mirror is perfect for any woman who's putting on makeup!

The pool of Fairmont Makati is nestled on the 4th floor. This is also where their spa, Willow Stream is located. There is a reception area where attentive and friendly guest officers are ready to assist. A shower and locker area is also available. There's also a pool bar, which unfortunately we were unable to try.

Note that their pool is actually salt water. So no worries on over-bleaching your newly dyed hair. ;)

We had dinner at their buffet restaurant, Spectrum, but I was unable to take pictures since I had to run around following our son.

Overall, aside from the luxurious interiors of the hotel and their food, I think the real jewel of Fairmont Makati lies on their staffs. Every single one were attentive, courteous, and friendly. It made our quick getaway really memorable, I can't wait to stay there again.
