My First Sample Room Haul

I've been reading a lot of beauty blogs lately and I'm overwhelmed by the power of internet - access to information about beautification. Gosh, if reliable internet was accessible to everyone a decade ago, I would have been a potential pro in makeup and skin care. Hmmm, not! LOL! For now, I'm just glad to read about reviews and tips on how to take care of our skin and not look losyang.

One of the topics I've often seen in beauty blogs are their experiences with beauty boxes - BDJ Box, Glamour Box, and Sample Room. After reading a few posts on Sample Room, I gave it a try since I will only be shelling off Php100 for shipping fee. As for the other boxes, I'll try them next time.

Signing up at the Sample Room website was a breeze and I got my first 100 points upon registration. These points will be used to purchase sample items for free.

For my first 100 points, I decided to get 3 items. Here are the sample items I ordered:

free samples

OraCare Cool Mouthrinse
  • Full size: 80ml / 250ml
  • Price: 57.20 / PHP 156.20
  • Sample Size: 1 pc. 80ml

SkinWhite Whitening Lotion
  • Full size: 100ml
  • Price: PHP 123.25
  • Sample Size: 1 pc. 100ml (full-sized)

Venus & Mars Miracle Emu Oil

  • Full size: 30ml / 50ml
  • Price: PHP 475 / PHP 755
  • Sample Size: 5ml

These free sample items amounted to almost Php260.00. Subtracting the shipping fee I paid online, I was able to save about Php160. Nice!

You can get additional points once you have given your review about the products on Sample Room's website. They also have a VIP option if you'd like to have more points.

Raves:
  • free samples
  • free registration
  • shipping fee is only Php100 (for my location)
  • you choose the samples you want to try
  • I have sensitive skin and what's great about this system is that it saves me money by buying samples to try first before purchasing their full sizes (side note: I ended up giving away or throwing away full-sized skin moisturizers I bought previously because they irritated my skin)

Rants
  • Some samples on the website were out of stock

I've been using the samples for over a week now and my favorite I should say would be the emu miracle oil. It's organic, works on my skin, and most importantly it doesn't irritate it. Would I recommend Sample Room? Yes. Sample Room has a lot of products on their list that you can choose from. And I think this is a great opportunity for everyone to try some samples first before they buy full sizes of these products.

  2. Yay! Glad that you also discovered Sample Room through blogs. I like their concept but they don't usually go full blast on restocking their items. Sometimes it would take weeks or months before a product can be restocked again and the new items available would entail much higher points.

  4. We have the same samples. I like the emu oil the most. Easily dries up my pimples without leaving any marks.
Care to give a favor by checking/following my blog.
