Review of Akemi Linen and Mr. Big Pillow

About two weeks ago, I went to visit the SM Home Fair at the SMX Convention Center in SM MOA. I have learned a lot from the talk of Ms. Charmaine T. Geronimo, PTRP, RPT about sleeping posture and biomechanics. It is not enough that we buy any pillow available in the market but should look closely on the science behind our sleeping partner. There are consequences of using the wrong pillow and Mr. Big Pillow answers the needs of its clientele.

Mr. Big Pillow is designed by physical therapist Mr. Chawakit Kaoien and spent years to develop his brand. Our two-year-old Bunso is currently using our Mr. Big Pillow with Elasta and I loved how the pillow would form and support his little head and neck. When we were still using a different pillow, Bunso would mostly slip from the pillow. But with Mr. Big Pillow, Bunso can sleep soundly and I can work on other things as he naps.

In the last two staycations we had this month I checked the pillows we were using in two different hotels and I must say that the quality of Mr. Big Pillow is the same if not better than the ones we used at the hotels.

After personally working on installing our wallpaper in the bedroom, I knew that I should next look into our linens and make some changes. At the SM Home Fair, I was able to check the different products of Akemi, a trusted brand of linens in the country. I tried their MicroXT Sateen, an ultrafine microfiber technology of cloth. The bedsheet we used has 650 thread count, soft as silk, breathable as cotton, and durable as polyester.

One of the issues I have at home is that my kids like to do rough plays on the bed and some of our bedsheets had been torn because of this. After more than a week of using the Akemi linen, I must say that it is very promising. The fabric is strong for my makukulit kids but soft enough to give us a good sleep.

The next time you visit SM Home, look into Akemi and Mr. Big Pillow and you will find something you'd love for your own homes.
