My Experience: Homeschool Conference 2017

In 2014, I attended my first homeschool conference in Mandaluyong. We just started formally homeschooling that year and I wanted to learn more and at the same time meet fellow homeschoolers. I was not able to attend the conferences for years 2015 and 2016. And this year, I made sure to attend.

I took advantage of the early bird promo of the conference even if I wasn't very sure yet if I could go. Also, I wasn't decided yet which break-out sessions to attend.

This year's theme for the homeschool conference was Homeschool to the Future: Educating for the World of Tomorrow. The event was held last October 7 at Treston International College in Bonifacio Global City.

I decided to bring Baby I with me since the venue is too far from our place and the traffic might be so bad I might not be able to go home early. Good thing I did because I was out of the house for at least seven hours and my breastmilk stash would not have been enough if I left him at home.

Since I wasn't that very much interested on the morning session and more importantly I'd be bringing a baby, I decided to just attend the afternoon session. We got to the venue a few minutes before the afternoon session started.

We proceeded to the registration area and got a yellow band for my wrist and our tote bag. I have downloaded the app for the event and was ready to explore.

There were so many people at the exhibits so  we were only able to visit a few. One of these was the booth of Treston on the second floor. I had with me my lucky charm and we won a jacket at their booth!

With my lucky charm.
We won a Treston jacket!

Let me just invite you to view my videos of my experience, feedback, and updates of our homeschool.
