Product Review: Bubbleman Dishwashing Liquid

On my Instagram post last week, I have mentioned that the search for my most favorite dishwashing liquid has ended with the Bubbleman Dishwashing Liquid. Let me tell you why in this review.

The Search

For years we have been using a well-known brand (let's call it Brand J), one that you see on TV commercials every single night. My husband and I were satisfied Brand J then until its prices has started to shoot up over time. With just one income in the household, we were looking for ways to make ends meet - that includes adjusting with our expenses on household products.

We first tried the brand next to Brand J, Brand A. It was a little cheaper than Brand J and promises the same results as the leading brand. Indeed it did but we didn't stop with our search there.

I think we have tried almost all the brands on the aisle including the bulky ones in gallons whose names are unknown to many. We did save a lot on those brands but I could hardly use them since my hands get itchy and dry every time I do the dishes using those.

And then I saw a friend post about Bubbleman Dishwashing Liquid on her blog. I just read it and continued using the other brands. Until my hands could no longer tolerate the dryness and itchiness the cheap-unknown brands are giving my skin. I remembered my blogger friend's post and re-read it. In our next groceries, I asked the Husband to look for the Bubbleman brand and he came home with not just one, but two!

I was surprised that they have a promo of two bottles of 880mL for just Php120!

Variants

There are 3 variants of Bubbleman: anti-bacterial (blue), kalamansi (green), and lemon (yellow).

Sizes of bottles are in 270mL, 880mL, and the biggest is 4 liters.

Trial Week

We still had a quarter of a gallon left of the cheap-unknown brand when we started using Bubbleman. I wanted to make sure that Bubbleman would be gentle on my skin hence I placed the current brand under the sink and solely used Bubbleman for a week.

The verdict

After a week of trying Bubbleman Dishwashing Liquid, I've listed down my thoughts of this brand.

Things I liked:

Price. The very reason why we switched brands was because we wanted to save money. And with Bubbleman, it so affordable. We've been buying the two 880mL pack for months and are able to use both bottles for at least 3 and a half months.

Effectively cleans. I really liked that it cleans grease easily on plates even of it's diluted in water. For grease on pans and plastic containers, I don't dilute it to maximize its cleaning power.

Easily rinses. We have a toddler and a baby in the house and I am happy that Bubbleman is easily rinsed from their feeding utensils. And there's no scent left on the plates which is great!

Biodegradable. I've always wanted to have a greener home but found some brands too expensive. The ingredients of Bubbleman are biodegradable, hooray to the environment!

Gentle on hands. I don't have a commercial-worthy hands and I have taken my hand's skin for granted for a long time. When my skin got dry and itchy with another brand, I finally said to myself that the next one I'd be using should be gentle on my hands. And Bubbleman is the gentlest dishwashing liquid brand I have ever encountered so far. No more qualms doing the dishes.


Things that could have made it better:

Packaging. It was so hard to open the spout! Also for an 880mL bottle, it was tricky to put the product on the sponge using just one hand. If you weren't careful enough you'd squeeze out too many products. Maybe a pump would work? Or just make the bottle a little harder. It was too soft in my opinion.


Overall, I think I may have just found the perfect dishwashing liquid for me. In fact we've been using it for almost a year now and we are satisfied.
