National Homeschool Day 2017

For the first time, the Philippines has celebrated its National Homeschool Day last March 3,2017.  Senate Resolution 308 by Senator Pangilinan expressed the Senate's support in the celebration. All over the Philippines, homeschooling families gathered in their chosen venues to join this momentous event.



For our family, we have decided to join the families of homeschoolers in Makati. There was another gathering near our place in Quezon City but I learned about it too late; I already said yes to the group meeting in Makati. The group in Makati includes fellow homeschooled kids who have the same age as my son, which was a plus because he could play with them again.

We braved Friday traffic and took an Uber going to Circuit Makati. It was my first time to go here; the last time I was in this area was in the 90s, it was completely different then!

Meeting place was at a bar-restaurant called The Social House. I really liked the place because the size was just right for the size of participants. There was also a stage where the kids showcased their talents, impromptu!
