Summer Komikon 2014

For those who are at least twenty-something, admit it, at some point in our lives we have loved reading comics. Whether it's Pinoy komiks, DC, Marvel, Manga, or those in the newspapers, we followed their stories. Some even made it as a hobby to collect these masterpieces. Movies like Avengers and Man of Steel would not have been successful if not for our fanaticism at comics.

This year marks a decade for the Philippine Komiks Convention. From a small group of artists ten years ago, it has blossomed into a big community of comics creators and enthusiasts. They hold Komiks Conventions three times a year and this summer, it will be at the Unilab Compound in Pasig City. Special guests will grace the event including an artist from Marvel.

One of the Pinoy artists that will be joining the exhibit is my brother, Jaudaux, owner of Ashfrost Productions and the creator of the comics, Sinag. Several characters revolve around the world of Sinag. It is a story of Agos and his adventures with the different Filipino mythical creatures.
