Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel

It's interesting what hormonal changes can do. Now that I'm a mom, I experience getting zits more often than I did when I was a teenager. It seems the pimples are enjoying their stay on my face every other week! This prompted me to look for solutions.

For a couple of years now, I have been using all-natural products on my face. I am allergic to a lot of things so as much as possible I prefer something organic to use. I have been using products from locally-developed and produced Human Heart Nature.

While browsing blogs and Youtube videos, I came across Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner. All these bloggers and YouTube gurus sworn on the effectiveness of the product. So I head on to Trinoma.

I bought the 8oz bottle at Healthy Options (located on the third floor) for less than 300 pesos. Not bad huh!

The bottle says it is 100% all natural (woohoo! Points), non-drying, for all skin types (another plus), it gently cleanses and conditions pores. It also says that it soothes irritation and locks in moisture (a definite plus for sensitive dry skin like mine).

Okay. I've been using it for about a month now (twice a day) and I think my bottle can last for another 4 months.

Here's my feedback.

Raves:
- affordable (since you can use it for months)
- all natural
- it doesn't dry my skin
- really and I mean really cleans my skin
- ever since I've been using it, I get less zits; it dries my pimples faster

Rants:
- I can only get them at Healthy Options (so far that's the only place I know)
- for first timers, you won't like the smell of it. I'm used to it now

Did my pores become perfect? I really don't know. But it has improved though. I recommend this all-natural toner as an alternative to expensive brands.

  1. Kat, how about moisturizer? Can you suggest any? I'm planning to use argan oil but expensive :(

  2. I'm using sunflower oil by Human Heart Nature, HHN day moisturizer and HHN night moisturizer. They have a serum but haven't tried that yet, too pricey for me. You can buy those thru a dealer, Landmark or thru their website www. humanheartnature. com :)
